Hello all and happy 2010!

After last year's SI Camp, there was a general feeling of, "What now?" There were lots of networking and conversations, but what were the actual outcomes?

In my view, it was the start of something that still hasn't reached its tipping point. When 60 people voluntarily give up their Saturday afternoon, there usually has to be a pretty good reason.

What was evident last year was that there are a lot of exciting things happening around the country. Yet there are also a lot of people who know that NZ could be doing even more to support social enterprise and innovation in our country.

So Jade Tang and Anita Funnell have been busy building this new website, "NZ's online hub for social entrepreneurs and innovators."

What is a hub? "A place or thing that forms the effective centre of an activity, region, or network."

The new site has videos like "What is Social Innovation" and "What is Social Enterprise" plus whole bunch of other cool resources.

We want to make it the main site where someone interested in social enterprise and innovation in NZ can find links to key resources, information, news (both local and global), contacts, and most of all, real-world examples of what's going on in our backyard.

We'd love your comments, your content, and your feedback. If there's other networks that we can tie this into, we'd love to hear about it. Most importantly, please send us examples of NZ social enterprise and innovation that we can profile. For now, enjoy the new look and feel of the site, and keep in touch.
